• Inspect the air filter to see if it’s dirty. Clean or replace immediately.
• Ensure the electrical switch for the furnace is in the “on position”.
• Check the electrical breaker to see if the fuse for the furnace was tripped.
• Make sure the thermostat is set correctly and that it is working.
• For efficient furnaces (without pilot lights) inspect the vents (typically white PVC pipe), found on the outside wall from the furnace room, to confirm they are not clogged with snow or ice. If so remove the blockage.
